FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ARC of the Treasure Coast Awarded $100,000
Impact 100 St. Lucie Grant for Therapeutic Intervention Program Health & Wellness Complex
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fl
– The ARC of the Treasure Coast is proud to announce it has been selected as a recipient of a
$100,000 grant from Impact 100 St. Lucie, a women's philanthropic organization dedicated to creating transformational change throughout St. Lucie County.
The grant will support the development and programming of the ARC's Therapeutic Intervention Program (TIP) Health & Wellness Complex in Port St. Lucie. The state-of-the-art campus will include the Therapeutic Intervention Program Center, an Acute Healthcare group home, a fully accessible playground and sensory garden designed to serve children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
"We are so grateful to the women of Impact 100 St. Lucie for selecting us as this year's recipient," said Keith Muniz, President and CEO of the ARC of the Treasure Coast. "These funds will impact hundreds, if not thousands, of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the fast-growing St. Lucie County."
The TIP Health & Wellness Complex is designed to address the growing need for specialized services, therapeutic support, recreation, and residential care opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Once completed, the facility will provide an inclusive environment where individuals can thrive physically, emotionally, and socially while receiving critical services close to home.
Impact 100 St. Lucie is a group of passionate charitable women who work collectively to make a lasting and transformational impact throughout St. Lucie County. Through its innovative model, at least 100 women each contribute $1,100 annually, with each member receiving one vote in selecting grant recipients. Because the organization has no paid staff, 100 percent of member contributions are pooled to fund major grants that support local nonprofits and initiatives.
"We are honored that Impact 100 St. Lucie recognized the significance of this project and its long-term impact on our community," added Muniz. "Their investment will help create a lasting legacy for individuals with disabilities and their families for generations to come."
