Anglers Invited to Fall Hook, Line, and Sinker for the 8th Annual Arc/kdw Fishing Tournament Presented by Arc of Martin and St. Lucie Counties

ANGLERS INVITED TO FALL HOOK, LINE, AND SINKER FOR THE 8TH ANNUAL ARC/KDW FISHING TOURNAMENT PRESENTED BY ARC OF MARTIN AND ST. LUCIE COUNTIES

Stuart, FL. - Anglers of all ages are invited to fish the ARC’S 8th Annual KDW Offshore Fishing Tournament on Saturday, June 18th at Pirate’s Cove Resort and Marina in Stuart. Fun in the sun and on the water in support of more than 600 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Try your hand at reeling in Kingfish, Dolphin, Wahoo, Grouper, and Snapper. Whatever floats your boat!

Register by June 3rd and team entry fees are $200, and $250 after June 3rd. We’ll lure you in with a bucket full of goodies and four tickets to a gourmet BBQ dinner Saturday evening at the awards ceremony. Additional anglers can join in the fun for $50 each and family/friends are welcome to purchase additional Awards Dinner tickets for only $25 each.

If you want to play and stay, event sponsor Pirate’s Cove Resort & Marina is offering a discounted room rate of $129 per night to registered participants if booked by June 10 (taxes/fees not included). No boat? No problem! Limited fishing spots will be available on Safari 1 Deep Sea Fishing for only $100 per angler including rod, reel, bait, tackle, and 1 dinner ticket for the Awards Ceremony.

Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place totaling $8,000 will be awarded to the teams with the heaviest of each species, as well as a cash prize for top Junior Angler, and top Lady Angler. And you’ll want to cast a bid for the silent auction items or reel in a raffle ticket for special prizes. Anyone can shop the auction, even online from home.

On behalf of The ARC of the Treasure Coast and our team at Alice’s Restaurant, it was a tremendous honor to accept the BDB’s Innovation in Workforce Development Award! This recognition is especially meaningful as October marks National Disability Employment Awareness Month. This award is not just a celebration of a business initiative—it’s a celebration of people. People with disabilities who, when given the opportunity, consistently demonstrate incredible talent, dedication, and pride in their work. At Alice’s Restaurant, we’ve seen firsthand how meaningful employment can transform lives, and we are proud to be part of that journey. This award belongs to many. First, we extend our deepest gratitude to the Martin County Board of County Commissioners. Your decision to invest ARPA seed funding into this vision laid the foundation for creating jobs that matter—and jobs that last.
